The Left doesn’t hate Putin because he is a tyrant or a dictator or a warmonger or a meddler. They love those qualities in other world leaders.

No, they hate him because he is the Caucasian leader of a largely Caucasian nation. That makes Putin for them the ultimate demonizable villain, even apart from his KGB background and authoritarian sensibilities.
