If you’re in Boston, you remember how deep the FBI corruption with Whitey Bulger and the like.

I suspect there’s lots more of that in the other regional offices.

I imagine Trump is just saying that because he thinks he needs to in order to keep the whole organization from falling apart. I doubt anyone will take it seriously.

When the “leadership” (corrupt) controls your paycheck, smart people typically keep their mouths shut. Certainly there are many, many good FBI employees we have never heard of. Once the “memo” bubble bursts and the corruptive leaders are exposed, there will be movement toward those upper leadership roles for the good employees. It happens in the private sector as well, I have seen and lived it.
