You've been on FR long enough to remember the early days here, when people actually did do research, ferreted out all kinds of facts, and didn't fantasize about what was/had gone on.
News is hard to find now, almost all is bogus tripe, and blogs and twitter and all that stuff is another medium - the good, the bad, and the ugly. I think it very plausible that former/current mil reached out to Trump and discussed with him about running and offered assistance.
If they did, I thank them for doing so.
