“You are hell bent on discrediting anyone and everyone who seems to believe there may be some truth to Q. I’ll repeat my question...why do you care what other people think? Why does this bother you so?”
This is a fair question as I have also been disparaging of Q. The problem for skeptics is, (I think) embarrassment. FR is one of the top conservative discussion sites around. The idea of people coming here and finding commenters seriously analyzing “code” written by and then helpfully translated by a long-time con man like Corsi discredits the entire place. Corsi has been doing this basic scam for decades, it never pans out, just fades away eventually.
Just staying off the Q threads doesn’t get the job done. It’s hard to see FR being the “Coast to Coast” of the internet. I’ll go away now and just be a lurker.

I can certainly understand that. Even though I've only been a registered member since 2001, I've been lurking since the very beginning. It is important for FR to maintain its credibility.
But I also think the site is strong enough to “play” with some of these ideas that are still out in the wild west of the Internet, such as Reddit and the chans. Does that mean discussions of shape shifters and slave colonies on Mars? Absolutely not. Just by you voicing your concerns about Q lets me know that this site will never reach the absurdities of an Infowars or other such sites.
Q could be the biggest story in Internet history, and likewise it could be a hoax. But I would hate for FR to completely miss it because it was too afraid of appearing to be kooks. I think sometimes you have to take chances, otherwise you just end up like Rush Limbaugh. I love Rush, but has this man taken any controversial stance to speak of in the last 15 years? I would say no; and that has led him to become complacent and stagnate...though it has allowed him to remain quite wealthy without rocking the boat.
I think the approach FR is taking to the whole Q thing is the right one. The mods are letting certain people “feel it out”, but I have no doubt that if it starts turning into a parody it will be quickly removed, and most everyone will agree that it was the right decision.
Q is such an unknown. I hope the mods will let it continue to play out. And I hope people don't become so rigid that potentially new, groundbreaking information is banned because we were simply afraid to even try. As with all things, there can be a middle ground.
