I don’t much like burdock - it tastes kind of dusty to me. Chickweed is mostly just “green”, but has a peppery/oniony bite that I really love. We usually get about six weeks of it before it withers, and I put it in EVERYTHING. :)
I am going to try it on gnocchi as well! I think it would be perfect.
Our gnocchi is DeCecco, from the dried pasta aisle (I never knew about this before last week - I thought you had to just make your own, LOL - and this dried stuff will be an introduction, for us.
I’ll let you know how it turns out; and I appreciate the canned-tomato sauce recipe - by this time of year, we are running low on the Family Home-Made Sauce; and will have to husband wisely what we have left, until the next batch arrives here in October ;-)
I had some more for a midnight snack with wldtover spaghetti squash. Keep it sealed in the fridge and you can shake it up when it separates.
I love these for saving liquids.
You must get the caps. And poke holes in half the caps for smoothies.
Leave the others intact for good storage in fridge.
