I fault the van driver for not finishing the job. His years of any relevant writing were long behind him by that time.
Like his other best stuff, "Misery" was published in the 80s, more than a decade before he got hit by the minivan. Seems a twisted mind is a main source of his inspiration and stupid comments; I'd boycott his works if any had been worth paying for in the last 30 years.
