So just listened to Jimmy Cefalo. Some DC lawyer named Mark was on the radio...he is touted as an EXPERT in national security law.
In the interview, which sounded like a commercial for the DNC, the "expert" revealed he had NEVER BEEN IN A FISA COURT. But trust him, he says, because he knows people who HAVE BEEN there.
Then he attacked the congressional committee that has LEGAL OVERSIGHT of the FBI and "intelligence" community. They really should NOT have the authority to release this information was his position. No, we the people should BOW OUR KNEE to the "experts".
When Cefalo pointed out that the President can DECLASSIFY any information, the "expert" lawyer conceded the point, snarkily saying Trump could do it, even if it HURT America.
Oh, and when Cefalo asked the guy of it was possible the FISA court was being DECEIVED by the FBI, the "expert" said it was HIGHLY UNLIKELY, and that Nunes was just playing politics.
Disgusting.
WIOD is owned by iHeartMedia.
Nuff said.
No reason to hurt your hand over some idiot with a law degree. There are extremely bright and highly competent ethical attorneys, but there is also a glut of law school graduates - many of whom are tripping over themselves trying to make a living. This guy is clearly a partisan hack, and likely has no particular insight one way or another about the memo.
This so-called expert know the difference between political and treasonous?.....
The FISA court was weaponized under the HUSSEIN regime. It was the HUSSEIN FBI, DOJ, and CIA that abused power then obstructed justice. Now the deep State is protecting HUSSEIN and his rogue thugs.
Release the memo!
Sadly there is a portion of the population, a large number of people, that are disengaged, read local paper, listen to news summaries on the radio, get the summaries via Facebook, Yahoo, Microsoft, etc. They will never see details that might lead them to question the establishment line.
The left is $hitting its pants over this, because they know it implicates them. So, they use their media power to trash it before it comes out.
When it comes out, they will get all the dems saying that it is a lie, trash, etc.
The left has become comically predictable. It went from “Trump/Russia collusion” to “Trump shut down the government” to “Republicans are taking money away from the poor” to “Trump can’t release the memo, because it’ll damage national security!”
One single leftist “mind” gets this idea, floats it as a stalking horse, the MSM gloms on to it, and it becomes truth. But anyone who is paying attention should realize that they’re working their hardest to draw away attention from the fact that they got their hands caught in the cookie jar.
The left reminds me of a confrontation I had years ago with a friend who was heavily addicted to pain pills. He thought he was being slick with his code words and colloquialisms in his phone and text conversations. One day I called him out, used some of his words in proper context, and he flew off the handle, violently attacked me, and said I had no business in his private affairs.
Thank God he got help, but I saw that day what happens when you corner a rabid animal: they either play dead or attack. Fortunately the left just tries to play dead and divert attention to a fart in the breeze.
“lawyer” is euphemism for paid lobbyist.
I believe his “political” memo is trying to point out politics in a process that is not supposed to be “political”.
Looks like the memo will do big damage to THE MEDIA.
The people who have been telling us for a year that Trump saying “fake news” is dangerous.
They say it’s dangerous because journalists are important for society in providing oversight of the government. Journalists are the ones who can do the digging and expose wrongdoing. Losing trust in them will let the government get out of control. And Trump’s attacks on them cause them to lose trust - according to them.
And this memo is likely to expose that journalists have not be doing what they tell us they do. They should have been the ones to exposed the wrongdoings - if they believe what they’ve been saying for the last year.
The FBI and DOJ can be fixed. Most of the people have been doing their job. A few changes at the top and things are in good shape.
But not so with the media. Good journalists would do their job (digging/exposing) no matter what the top does. With the internet, their story could be told without help from the top. The memo is likely to show that almost all journalists are either incompetent or corrupt or both. There’s no easy fix for that. And if public trust is as important to their job as they say, they’ll be even more damaged soon.
In D.C., you can't swing a dead intern without hitting a lawyer.
Drag a one hundred dollar bill through an attorney’s office...
It's more likely they are co conspirators!
Cefalo as in the former Penn State football player?
The iron-clad reason why you know this “expert” is a joke........
Ask yourself.
When did you ever hear of a Democrat worried about “harming US national security?”
See what I mean?
ABC is pimping that the Russian dossier is no less useful as a source for a warrant than a snitch, or a convict might be. Bastards.
Talk about ambiguous wording. LOL!
When did you ever hear of a journalist that did not want to expose dirty cops?
