A little treat, chips, pizza, leftovers, meat scraps (i.e. fat), gravy... that’s how. Beagles are usually not picky eaters. I have found that picky eaters are easier to feed than voracious scarfers. Put out the correct measurement per day for picky eaters and they will graze all day. For the voracious dog, split the recommended daily measurement in half and feed them twice per day (12 hours apart). No feeding from thy table.

Treats? Be careful. My vet says “no” except dental treats or raw beef bones.

Poor dog... beagles are great hunters and like to roam and never be seen again. The only good beagles I have come across were strictly for hunting or farm dogs within a pack of curs. The “pack” helps keep them in line.
