SpaceX is now targeting launch of the GovSat-1 satellite to a Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO) from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida on Wednesday, January 31, at 4:25 p.m. EST, or 21:25 UTC. The satellite will deploy approximately 32 minutes after launch.
Important note: this is the first launch from Launch Pad 40 in quite some time.
Also, the second use of this booster. This time though, it will not be recovered for use again.
Wish it was later. I could go out and watch it from the docks.
Can’t wait for the Heavy. If it is Anything like the Delta Heavy, it will be spectacular.
Another routine success. Falcon Heavy is scheduled for next Tuesday. It will be spectacular, success or failure.
If it is Anything like the Delta Heavy, it will be spectacular.
...
It’s around 2.5x the thrust of the Delta IV Heavy. Did you see and hear the video of the FH static fire?
The first stage actually survived the water landing. SpaceX is going to try to tow it back.
