Can the firearm be REMOTELY turned off by say the government during times of unrest?

I’ll bet it can, so not for me.

Can it be REMOTELY fired?

Like when in the safe, or end table, or in someone’s holster?

Didn’t see your post and responded similarly. I’ll bet these smart guns could be remotely bricked. So, when someone buys one of these smart guns, fills out a Form 4473 with the smart firearm’s serial number, BOOM now the government can shut down individuals or whole groups of people’s guns. Just get a court order (FISA anyone) and Jerry Brown or any lefty can remotely brick your weapon.

And what if there is civil unrest and the government orders all or certain smart guns to be rendered unusable... and they don’t tell anyone. No you have someone who is potentially carrying a smart gun around that the government has disabled and the carrier doesn’t even know it! Pretty convenient way to execute someone by having them pull their concealed carry smart gun in a life-or-death situation only to discover it has been shut down, and now you are dead.
