Agree ilgipper. We watch Grammy’s because we love the great performances but it was tougher than usual. Kendrick is an extreme talent. If you don’t know (not you ilgipper) then you don’t know. His politics aside he’s un-believable. He’s Ray. He’s Johnny Cash. He’s name a once-a-decade artist. Outkast circa 2003. Radiohead - Kid A. Wilco - A Ghost is Born. Kendrick Lamar is a talent with a purpose. I hate to say it but he’s got this generations ear and then some. Dude is legit. Flame away
I’m proud to say that I’ve never listened to the illiterate racist, Kendrick Lamar, and his “rapping” noise. I didn’t even know the Grammys were tonight, not that I would have watched that gaggle of subhuman pigs, anyway.
I take issue with you comparing that no-talent creature to Johnny Cash. Lamar is not fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as Johnny Cash, Ray Charles or Radiohead.
I feel sorry for the younger generation (I’m 47) because most of today’s “music” is just worthless noise, although there are some exceptions. Florence Welch, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson and Radiohead come to mind as some of the exceptions.
He’s far from Ray Charles or Johnny Cash...
I agree about Kendrick. He’s gifted at what he does. A few years back, he played at either the grammy’s or another awards show with Imagine Dragons and I kept it on my DVR for a year to watch their performance. He’s an idiot about the faux-cop killing garbage, but that aside, he’s one of the best performers of the era.
