Sorry but you are wrong. The man who I got the info from was a very high level Mason, of extremely high character, and had ZERO reason to make it up at the time. Check closely at your next meeting and ask about it.

I have been a Mason for 40 years and have attended meetings in about 20 lodges across the country. No Koran, only the Holy Bible with the old and new Testament.

I am a past master of my own lodge; I know what is in it.
We use the Holy Bible for all our meetings and rituals.
NO KORAN!!

I've been a Mason for 30+ and have never seen a Koran in a Lodge. Blue Lodge, Scottish rite, or Shrine. The only secrets in Masonry are how to tell if you are a mason. It is a fraternal service organization the median age is moving up to about 60 now days.

Then the lodge of which he was a member had a Muslim member. It’s customary to have the holy books of the faiths of the members present (if they so desire). In the US the Bible is default and the only one that is opened, but others may be placed next to it.
