I was once invited to become a Mason (I didn’t, for reasons irrelevant to this discussion.) To join, I had to write, in my own handwriting, that: (1) I believed in one, and only one, God; (2) that I believed in a holy book (they didn’t care if I said the Old Testament, the New Testament, or the Koran, but I had to name a book); and that (3) I believed that, after a person dies, God will punish the wicked and reward the righteous.

This is the problem. Masons deny the divinity of Christ. There is only one way to heaven and that is through faith in Jesus Christ. They make no distinction between Chrst or Allah. Christ died for all—not Allah. They may have good works but good works will not get you to heaven. God said we should have no other gods before Him.

Assuming someone did ask you... it was totally improper. The candidate has to do the asking.
