Nonsense.
The WTO says the Chinese import tax is less than 10% on agricultural products and 5% on non-agricultural products.
You need to be careful about where you're getting your information.
Your WTO figures are crap. Which - being the WTO - you would expect.
I get my figures from friends who work at embassies and consulates in China - and from shopping there.
You can get knock offs cheap. But if you want to buy the real deal, across the street from where they are manufactured, expect to pay 3 times or more than what they cost in the States - after shipping and markup. It is all taxes.
If you think the official figures have any validity whatsoever you are terribly naïve. The Chinese government is raping us and laughing while they do it. (I really like the Chinese people BTW)
