Trump was a huge blessing and America is doing amazing things, declaring Jerusalem capital of Israel for one. (I am not some political Israel lobbyist, but historically this is returning us to the days of Christian Europe when all world maps had Jerusalem at the center.)
Sanctity of Life day being declared, religious freedoms being protected again, righteousness restored in our courts!
God is definitely blessing this country.
But in terms of ideological warfare and for the sake of protecting the integrity of the historical record: Putin and his supporters need to be taken to task for the fraud that he is.
His sick revisionist narratives of the world need to be addressed. Honestly even moreso in Russia than here. As this article points out:
In Russia, as in much of the post-Soviet space, the past is the present. From Ukraine to Belarus to Poland and Lithuania, historical narratives of communism, World War II, the Holocaust and the HolodomorUkraines Terror-Famineare being reviewed, revised and in many cases manipulated to serve new ideological trends.
In Russia, the elephant in the room is Stalins repressionsquite possibly the largest yet least understood crime of the 20th century. Despite its scale, outside a relatively small group of historical memory activists, the repressions are not a matter of national conversation.
Following a brief period of revelations in the wake of perestroika, the fog of silence is thickening once again, pushing the memory of the events out of Russian consciousness and, with it, out of that of humanity.
Note: this denialism is in large part due to the reins Putin was given over the historical narrative and bodes ill for everyone who wants the lessons of the past to be learned, but especially Russians. As the past continues to stall and haunt the place - and is the biggest factor contributing to instability in the region. (Namely the defacto war with Ukraine and tensions with its other neighbors in Europe.)

Putin was playing to the political regime and Trump was talking to the people who suffered under it.....so much collusion going on....;-}
Okay.
But one thing’s for sure, we all shouldn’t be ‘at war’ with each other. The battle for our country requires us to be unified.
Not pointing any fingers; I’m as guilty as anyone for ‘shooting from the hip’ with snarky comments that are uncalled for.
Still with the world situation the way that it is, I am mighty glad we have a CIC like President Trump. We can ill afford another 0bama.
Trying to counter the misconception that Putin is some savior of Christian civilization.
Anyone with a sense of history would consider that silly.
I really wouldn’t say Monarchism and Empires are all that similar to Communism and Fascism. Let’s not forget that Communism/Fascism and its ilk got its start with the French Revolution when the Jacobins murdered their king and instituted the Reign of Terror, and the Founding Fathers, many of whom were not particular fans of the monarchy, nonetheless decried the French Revolutionaries as being even WORSE than the monarchists (some even had the foresight to see that it was going to end very badly). If anything, Communism and Fascism have more in line with Anarchism than they do Monarchism, also democracies (or more specifically, mobocracies). Besides, a lot of Disney movies and fairy tales show Monarchism in a good light, and God IS a monarch.
As if we needed more proof that Vladimir Putin is as anti-Communist as Castro (ie, he never was anti-Communist).
