It was just announced on FOX Business that Vince McMahon will renew a football league called the XFL which will compete with the NFL. The XFL League will be "family friendly" and require ALL players to stand for the National Anthem or be thrown out.
I am excited about this, and definetly will be an XFL fan. I no longer watch or buy tickets for NFL games. The XFL is exactly what I am looking for.
As Tim Conway pointed out last night, the season will start at the end of the NFL season where fans might be sick of football and moving on to b-ball and nhl playoffs and baseball. Maybe that is true. Would be better if they had the same fall season.

Good question. Mine is: Will the NFL retain its monopoly on the college draft?
I used to enjoy watching the USFL in the Spring. Mainly because I’m not much of a basketball fan.
I’m hoping he’ll create a legitimate minor league that will give an opportunity for guys who don’t want to pretend to be a college student an opportunity to play for pay.

I saw his announcement. He said that it will be available on any platform you want...TV, smartphones, PC, whatever. It won’t be restricted to just TV.
Also, the fact that no felons will be allowed to play...What’s that going to do to the talent pool they can draw from?
One of the things he said in his announcement was that the XFL would listen. If that’s the case, you who have ideas need to contact VinnieMac and let him know what WE THE PEOPLE want to see in this new league. I’ve seen many complaints on FR...even before this whole kneeling fiasco....about things you as FReepers don’t like about pro football.
