Exactly. We just lived under years of evil. We still have no idea just how evil, more comes out every day. You would think that would give people pause- make them wonder.
People are being ridiculed and worse in this country for being Christian. People are being ridiculed and worse for being Republican and/or conservative. People are being bullied for their beliefs if they are not the beliefs of progressives/liberals/Democrats. People are being censured on the internet, and in media for posting/speaking against the progressives or in support of conservatives. It is not a far leap to see what could happen with a national ID at the fingertips of evil. Think of all the information that would be at the fingertips of power and what that could mean if the power was a force of evil.
It is a fact that most of the information about us is already out there on most of us. We are tracked by someone already from cradle to grave. The thing is that information is not now found in one location, it is scattered like the wind throughout many agencies at all levels of government. Everyone does not now have access to all of that information. No one has easy access to all that information. A national ID could easily be used to gather all of that information onto one card with a chip- so we would essentially be chipped- what would be the difference if it was in our body or on a required card?
We can now choose to keep our views to ourselves in certain settings like work. The reality is if there were a national ID our views could be predicted based on information about us being on the same ID that would be required to get a job, travel, possibly vote, or even buy groceries for that matter.
It is not a stretch, not a stretch at all.
