Here is the actual scripture:
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

When it says, here is wisdom, we need to pay close attention. I believe that at the time of the fulfillment of this passage, God will provide wisdom so that true believers will be able to buy and sell without taking the mark of the breast. There will be something about the number of his name that will allow God’s people to buy and sell, thus avoiding forced starvation.

No offense but I disagree. You will be able to buy or sell, ONLY with the Mark of the Beast. Refuse and you will starve to death, be imprisoned until you receive the MOTB from Hell or you have your head cut off by NWO executioners.
Scary stuff - true enough. Now, I won’t set a date, of course, on when this stuff is implemented. But we know the Mark of the Beast is implemented when the Abomination that Causes Desolation at the mid-point of the 7 final years (this is when the False Prophet requires worship of the image of the first beast and receiving of the Mark (Greek “charagma” - tattoo).
Jesus Christ referenced the Abomination that Causes Desolation when He noted the Prophet Daniel - and then shall be Great Tribulation.
