Mardie, what are a few of your favorite books?
“Duke’s Wager” by Emma Lathem. I “squeed” to her at a time when she needed support and built her a website. Became a good friend and actually had a book dedicated to me.
ANYTHING about Amanda Peabody.
Almost anything by W.E.B. Griffin.
“Tea with a Black Dragon” by R. A. MacAvoy. Just like G. Gordon Liddy’s “Will” I gave it to everyone I cared about.
Much of the poetry by Matthew Arnold. I used to recite it aloud as I walked to keep a rhythm.
The John Thatcher mystery books. The Judge Dee mystery books.
Science fiction that is funny. Retief by Keith Laumer, my favorite. Some female writers. Nancy Springer.
And, of course, since I spent twenty years studying New York around 1800, HENRY LIVINGSTON!

What about you?
