I don’t think the Dems will give an inch on Chain Migration...so I don’t expect anything to come of it. This is more Trump’s way of showing how full of crap they are.
Can I give Trump a suggestion on how to handle immigration? Just enforce the laws on the books. That is all he has to do. That simple. Send troops to the border instead of Afghanistan. No agonizing over “dreamers”, DACA, etc. Simple path forward.
Then after November election, a grateful electorate will give him more allies to end chain migration, drastically cut legal immigration and base it on a merit system.
