I have very little over fire cooking experience. Would like to have more. We have cooked sausages for dinner and s’mores for dessert. And my first husband built a pizza oven once in our yard. That was absolutely awesome and I dream of another one one day.

We made a deal before we moved out here, that he would get a boat and I would get a pizza oven. After extensive and Shawn research, and looking at all the various ways to make one, we decided to just spend the money and get one from turn on bravo. They are the premier pizza oven makers. After reading on numerous websites about all the trouble people had with their pizza ovens cracking, not holding temperature, Having trouble in cold climates, etc. etc. I just figured it wasn’t worth the risk. I almost bought one from this place it imports Portuguese ovens, they were beautiful. And quite a bit cheaper – but the people there wouldn’t answer my questions about the insulation, thickness, so I gave up on them.

you can click on the picture for a bigger one. I got the yellow one because the house has red brick, the deck has a red stain, and the barn is red. It just would’ve been too much of the same. So far it has stayed fairly clean although I do keep it covered most of the time. And it makes wonderful pizza and focaccia! If you have any other recommendations or recipes for it, please let me know.
