The Sessions Justice Department is calling on House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) to allow the FBI to review the shocking, FISA abuse memo to ensure its release will not harm national security.
ABC News reports:
The Justice Department is urging the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, whose staff has compiled a secret memorandum purporting to show shocking political bias within the FBI, to give the department a chance to see the memo and warning that first sharing information from the memo with reporters would be unprecedented and dangerous.
Furthermore, the department said certain allegations of impropriety are completely unfounded.
We believe it would be extraordinarily reckless for the Committee to disclose such information publicly without giving the Department and the FBI the opportunity to review the memorandum and to advise the [committee] of the risk of harm to national security and to ongoing investigations that could come from the public release, a top Justice Department official wrote in a letter today to Rep. Devin Nunes, R-California.

“...a top Justice Department official...”
Who? And Why? Perhaps some of the investigations implied by the memo might implicate said ‘top DoJ official’?
Are those the lawyers Obama hired according to the mysterious
Q?
The FBI and DOJ are completely comprised!
Sorry, DOJ. We can’t show you the memo while there are ongoing investigations.
Perfect summary! Sessions is incredibly selfish, at best, and doesn't care unless he keeps his prestigious position. More likely, he's either complicit in these coverups, or being blackmailed by Mueller to be complicit. No other way to explain the DOJ's incredible lack of action on so many fronts. All they really seem interested in doing is to fight Trump and Nunes etc.
If you are wrong, will you apologize?
WWE?
Thank you, JoeRed.
The Note should have been included in the excerpt. It was a the top of the article.
Ah yes...I, too, have fond memories of the FR philosophical wars of the late 90's.
There were many many brilliant Freepers in those days and the wars were often fiery...
Pete King was on Ingraham just now. A couple of days ago he was a "no" vote for the release. Tonight he is for the release.
It was Boyd. He's a Sessions guy from back in AL.
"Either make good use of your position or move out of the way so someone else can." Did I say that nice enough?
Exactly why they don't want it out there. It describes criminal behavior, that they not have not only failed to prosecute, but have nurtured, apparently to this very day. As their core mission, they don't enforce justice, they obstruct it. Only an honestvoutside independent special counsel will ever be able to come close to resolving it.
Curious why Mr. Boyd hasn’t sent a similar letter to the Dems regarding their memo.
People are so stupid...there’s a reason why he’s doing this.
The letter, which is in the Washington Examiner was written by Assistant Atty General Stephen Boyd. You can read it in total at theconservativetreehouse.com
It makes a lot of assumptions about what is in the document and what are the supporting documents—as if they are all from FbI or DOJ-— they aren’t.
this all comes down, the “russia” bullcrap is over as is mueller. Sessions has proof of their deceiving him, and will UN-recuse himself, and commence the cleaning up of the obamaumao downline traitors and the Secret Society and prosecution from there of MAJOR figures. Rosenstein shared the private server, apparently— and so... HE’s gone too, having duped Sessions (who was delayed approval well past Feb. 2017, and idiot Yates was running this “operation fake out”.
Sessions has the paedophile information on the podestas et al. Trump wants him where he is, as does Trump legal team.
