WOW! Sessions DOJ Moves To Protect Deep State AGAIN, Warns Against Releasing FISA Memo

The Sessions Justice Department is calling on House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) to allow the FBI to review the “shocking,” FISA abuse memo to ensure its release will not harm national security.

ABC News reports:

The Justice Department is urging the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, whose staff has compiled a secret memorandum purporting to show “shocking” political bias within the FBI, to give the department a chance to see the memo and warning that first sharing information from the memo with reporters would be “unprecedented” and dangerous.

Furthermore, the department said certain allegations of impropriety are completely unfounded.

“We believe it would be extraordinarily reckless for the Committee to disclose such information publicly without giving the Department and the FBI the opportunity to review the memorandum and to advise the [committee] of the risk of harm to national security and to ongoing investigations that could come from the public release,” a top Justice Department official wrote in a letter today to Rep. Devin Nunes, R-California.

I’ve defended Sessions...this is enough.

FIRE SESSIONS NOW...

He neutered himself and lacks the ball to intervene.

“If you are wrong, will you apologize?”

What is this? Japan? All this apologizing is gay.

Sessions’ seemingly commentment to his consistent protection of the DC deep state status quo and its platers is going to be Trump’s political downfall. This is very likely not going to end well for us and this country.

On FOX news tonight, I finally heard why it is going to take time to release the papers. It’s the supporting documents that have to be gone over, not the 4 page summation.

Yes, I heard they are adding supporting documents.

This is absurd on its face. Some DOJ 2nd tier official is a more qualified judge regarding risk of harm to National Security than the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee? (in consultation one would presume with the Committee itself)

Yeah...we need to let the shady FBI that classifies things to hide wrongdoing clear it first. That sounds like the best thing to do.

Is Sessions in charge of anything at the Justice Department, or has he recused himself from everything to concentrate on harassing pot smokers?

People are so stupid...there’s a reason why he’s doing this.

Yeah bob we know how you and a couple others still think that these guys like Nunes are so out of line, and out of their league, that they're going to mess up the super secret investigation that Mueller is working on to take down Hillary, and not Trump. This information doesn't need to be known by anyone except your secret agent buddies in the DOJ, right bob? Not healthy for the commoners to know what's really going on until the insiders are willing to share it with us, huh.

And I say to hell with that. It's thinking like that which got us into this mess of a corrupt deep state! Oh I know some things need to be secret, but not this case anymore. It's already blown wide open, and the sides people are on are clearly being shown. Your heroes like Mueller are just on the wrong one.

That Boyd memo is dripping with condescension. The FBI “negotiated” what the would show the intelligence oversight committee.

The FBI arrogance was on full display there in that letter. Congress should utterly bitch slap them down and bring them to heel harder than anything America has ever seen.

Nunes does not seem intimidated by DOJ/FBI. He should release the TRUE memo and take it to a FISA court to wire tap the real threats to the USA.

Because their memo has no idea what it will say, because NONE of them ever went to the Eisenhower Office Building next to the WH last spring 2017, to view the supporting documents sent to Mr. Nunes to view in an extreme secure “faraday cage” facility run by the Secret Service. The dems, who apparently haven’t looked at the memo—have no idea what it says- and so can’t compose a “response” as a result. Nuts for them to try.

So the fibbies/DOJ have less to worry about from the knee jerk Schiff who is running in circles. They are worried about the documented memo of their criminal actions . As the spokesman for Nunes said “agencies under investigation are not entitled to look at the evidence gathered against them, in the course of normal Congressional oversight”. that is what was told to DOJ.
