I think he meant the Obama administration, and it had to do with not supporting the police forces. I don’t have a clue what “un” means in that context.
E. E. Cummings wrote a poem in which he the mentioned the “un,” which I always read as “the U.N.,” but when he recited it, he pronounced it “the un.” Only possible clue I can think of.
Correction: It’s UN in the poem; I just looked it up. But he pronounced it “un” when he read it aloud. I think I was the only one who laughed (starting to be a habit).
