An interesting article on Madison and war powers, worthy of a Federalist/Anti-Federalist ping.

DC, beyond Constitution. Pretending War Powers Act enables endless war and deep, dark state, to _protect_ We The People from lawful USA government.

Thank you!

Aside from his specific views, as expressed herein, one must marvel at the mind and accumulated wisdom of Madison and the other assortment of geniuses who happened to be gathered on this little sliver of land at the exact time period, out of all recorded history, when the ideas of liberty blossomed into full bloom, if only for a time.

Perhaps the word "wisdom" does not fully describe that miraculous gathering. Perhaps the cautions of Proverbs 4 provide a more apt description:

Proverbs 4:7

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

Whatever the word, or words, their ideas resulted in a miracle on earth.

For the sake of our posterity, may we see a restoration and renewal of their devotion to the ideas of liberty, knowing, with Weaver, that "Ideas have consequences!"
