The following night the Eagles fans meet again, this time in a different bar. As they look up from their discussion, in walks the same Cowboys fan again
hahahahahahaha
I’ve been a member of FR from the beginning. [This is my second screen name. I had one in 98, but when I tried to log on in 2000 it wouldn’t work. Had I known then the cachet of having a 1998 sign up date, I’d probably have tried harder. (It wasn’t banned; the profile coukd be accessed but the password didn’t work.)] In all that time I’ve only encountered one set of caucus threads, and they are in the Religion Forum. Otherwise dissenting views—as long as they’re not Leftist—are allowed.
What I’m saying is that there’s a difference between a group of football fans and a political discussion forum. On the latter, people should practice civility and stay on topic, but otherwise it’s not necessary for every poster on every thread to be in lockstep.
I did suggest that the fans of Q should try to get a caucus going. Meaning, if non-lockstep views bother them so much, they should approach the site owner and request permission to form a Q Caucus. That would give them the right to exclude anyone who didn’t share their exact beliefs re Q. I still think that’s an option. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
