I tutored for some kids at a children’s prison, though nothing like you encountered, was a tough sell for most of them. One I remain in brief contact with through the years, the other has pulled himself up by his bootstraps and excelled in the computer world….legally I’m hoping hahahahahahah

Well. I learned that not everybody in the system is an animal. There is a lot of wasted potential behind bars. Some of them are intelligent, charismatic, and quite likable. Even the gang members.

Such a terrible waste.
