It’s interesting an phenom - it’s a form of “cold reading”.
“Cold reading” is a term refering to how a psychic will scam people into believing s/he has some superior secret knowledge.
You can read about it online, James Randi did some great exposes on it’s use, for example.

Basically what is done is some generic, non-specific things are tossed out, e.g. “I see a woman relative who has passed on...she’s trying to tell me her name....I can only see the letter “M”...
Then the client (the mark) begins to search their mind for a female relative with a name that starts with “M”....after they think on it, they realize they had a great aunt named “Martha”. The psychic is validated!
Pretty amazing stuff, actually - how we fall into such things, especially if we have selective perception as a starting place.
Twitter is publicly traded. Dorsey may own a bunch of shares, but he’s not even close to a majority. He owns about 3.5% of the company. That awful Saudi prince alaweed owns about 5.5% and the founder owns about 6.8% and institutional investors own far larger pieces. Black rock, Vanguard etc........doesn’t mean Dorsey isn’t a lefty, he just doesn’t control the company’s shares. , .

Thank you. I wouldn’t try to talk anybody out of their particular suspension of disbelief. It can’t be done. The left has it’s own issues with suspension of disbelief, e.g. Clinton did no wrong. They can’t be reasoned out of things like that, either.
All in all, it’s just a fascinating phenomena to observe.
