With the FBI claiming a "Samsung glitch" resulting in "missing texts"...why is not a single person in the MSM questioning this letter from the OIG indicating he already has them??
“…the OIG sought from the FBI all text messages between Strzok and Page from their FBI-issued phones through November 30, 2016, which covered the entire period of the Clinton e-mail server investigation. The FBI produced these text messages on July 20, 2017. Following our review of those text messages, the OIG expanded our request to the FBI to include all text messages between Strzok and Page from November 30, 2016, through the date of the document request, which was July 28, 2017.
The OIG received these additional messages on August 10, 2017.”

At the time of this letter it was thought they had all the txt messages, Since then they have acknowledged at they were missing spans of txt messages.
It’s not us that have to believe It’s the members of the “secret society” that they want to hear discuss it on their wired phones.

I hope the IG has the texts or can get them.
But what explains Sessions making a statement yesterday
that 5 months of texts are missing, and that DOJ would turn
over every stone to find them?
His statement does not square with those saying the IG has the missing
texts. That is what is confusing me.

Sessions seems to be commenting lately. Problem is he is discussing investigations. He is on record as claiming he doesn’t comment on investigations. Second he is Recused. maybe he is getting ready to come alive and do his job. I would be happy with that despite my criticisms of him. Another aspect would be he is giving the other side some ammo in the ongoing battle. I seriously doubt they can’t find text messages when it took more time to comment on them than to find them.

That’s the narrative, but how could it be true? Horowitz’s letter dated December 13, 2017 says the OIG received the messages on August 10, 2017. Are we supposed to believe that the OIG urgently requested the messages for a 209 day period, received messages for only 55 days, yet no one had time to notice in FOUR MONTHS?
Seems unlikely that Horowitz would notify Congress that he had texts he KNEW he couldn’t produce if asked to. He knows who in his office was handling this, and hopefully has them tied to the whipping post right now.

The OIG states in his letter, the additional texts (covering the “missing” time frame) were received on August 10, 2017. His letter is dated December 13, 2017 - four (4) months later.
I find it hard to believe he sat on those texts for four solid months before discovering “they arent there”.
It’s even more hard to believe Sessions would make a statement yesterday
saying 5 months of texts are missing. And that an investigation has been
launched to find them or recovery them.
Dan Bongino was on Hannity tonight. He seems to believe the texts
are not missing and this is disinformation to help in leak investigations.
Not saying he is right, but could explain why there is confusion regarding
if 5 months are missing. Sessions says yes. Your posted IG letter says no.
Confusing to me, for sure.
