My thought exactly. And it would be much less safe for the victim. At least in the bus there are other people who might be able to come to your assistance. In the street you’re much more on your own.

The problem is apparently "encountered on the way home", meaning between the usual bus stop and the victim's residence. The predators will adapt and this measure will be annoying to the other riders, but ultimately ineffective.

Stop importing men who have been raised to believe that rape and murder are part of their birthright. Pretty damned simple.
