Michelle Obama is very tall, and fairly large boned. There are lots of women who are approximately the same size as she is. Her problem is not her size, it is the clothes she chooses to wear. Curiously enough, both Michelle Obama and Melania Trump are the same height, 5'11".

Curiously enough, I am taller than both of them and am quite familiar with the rudeness and worse that sometimes comes along with that.
Luckily for me, I had a very large and protective father who always told me to stand up straight. Good posture is quite an asset. So is being able to intimidate people when the circumstances call for it.
