When you copy and paste, you are carrying over embedded characters that cause the software to strip formatting.

To avoid losing your formatting, copy first to a text editor like Notepad, then copy from there and paste.

I think all paragraphing is routinely to always lost. One simply must use the < p > and for a list, the < br > html codes. It is tedious. Don’t know a way around it.
