Thanks Red Badger. The chambers and passages now known to exist -- via non-invasive techniques -- will not be explored or opened until Hawass dies. So, that's two things to look forward to.

I've always had a question about the so-called King's chamber in the Great Pyramid. There is a gigantic granite box that is supposed to be the bottom half of a sarcogaphus. But no trace of the top. I'm willing to accept the box as the bottom of a sarcogaphus, but no tomb robber--and presumably no archeologist--is going to take the time and immense effort to remove the top from the chamber. So where is it? Any records of it being found?
