King was for integration

King was a for a society where merit is judged not skin color

King advocated non violence

The modern left believes in none of these things. So why do they celebrate his Birthday?

King would be disgusted to see that the enlightened left has given up on educating blacks, and instead just gives them fake diplomas and degrees; they’ve been marginalized more than they were when King lived, and they don’t even know it (or care).

The Left was leaving King behind even during his lifetime. When he made an appearance at the National Conference for New Politics in the summer of 1967, he was booed.

The same reason they ‘celebrate’ Christmas, 4th of July.

A day OFF with PAY.

Take away the day off with pay and you will see a more open form of disrespect.

The left, under the pernicious influences of Critocal Theory and political correctness, has moved on from where King was. He’s a traditional icon, important for having a dream even though they no longer want the dream.

In this King is like so many other things the left values as symbols of their historical importance: including the Constitution and country.

Tear down these historical monuments and street signs. MLK was a preacher and no religious monuments are allowed on public grounds. Tear them down now.

Totally agree. The left is obsessed with race.

Our local Gannett newsrag had a nice article on King’s legacy, some of his quotes and including the current needs of the black community. And the day’s editorial echoed a lot of it, mainly complaining about how things are. But not once in what amounted to over three quarters of a page of newsprint was there any mention of one of his key phrases: CONTENT OF CHARCTER.

One reason and one reason only: the color of his skin.

Equality sounds like a reasonable ideal when your group is behind. All of MLK’s compelling speeches echo that sentiment.

MLK was already turning commie before he died. All his acolytes turned into race pimps. His legacy might not have survived his surviving.

They lionize JFK, too, while “Ask not what your country can do for you,” sets their mouths afroth.

That’s not entirely true. They most definitely believe all his socialist beliefs, and would HUGELY expand upon them!!!
