Conan O’Brien was one of many Americans who were unhappy to read the reports that President Donald Trump called some foreign nations, including Haiti, “s—hole” countries — an insult that has been met with outrage and charges of racism. (Trump and Republican officials have disputed the exact comment, and today, Trump declared, “I am not a racist.”) But the host of Conan is not just doing a monologue about it, he’s hopping on a plane and letting cameras roll for an hourlong special.
O’Brien will take his TBS late-night talk show on the road again, this time to Haiti, to film a special episode of his show under the Conan Without Borders banner, the network confirmed on Sunday. And O’Brien, who shared the news first on Twitter, sounds ready to reestablish ties with the Caribbean nation in his own way.

And you can bet your bippy he and his crew will take along or acquire all the cushy air-conditioned conveniences and comforts to shield them from the stark reality of misery in Haiti. It will be a fraudulent, hypocritical farce from beginning to end.

I’m sure he’s going with plenty of security, and that he will coordinate his visit with local authorities. It wouldn’t due to have Conan robbed, kidnapped or killed. Why doesn’t he just show up there unannounced, and alone, walk the streets with a hidden camera, and see what happens.
And when he only goes to the nice spots, people will say, "Haiti isn't a shithole after all! They got it pretty good over there. No need to bring them here!"
Bet he won’t let anyone talk about the Clinton Foundation.
Want to see the picture on his face when he realizes that the capitol, doesn’t have a sewer system and that crap and pee, flow freely thru the street.
But, who knows, maybe the Haitian’s will force him and his crew into the worst places and then talk about getting robbed by the Clinton’s. Of course, if that happens, whatever plane Conan and his crew are flying on, will go down due to mechanical failure with no survivors. Even if that mechanical failure is caused by a Stinger missile.

Fundamentally, this is what President Trump is asking. "Why does America need unskilled, illiterate immigrants from broken countries to come here and immediately go on public assistance?"
This is the only conversation we need to be having right now on this subject.
The planted axiom is that Mr. Trump said what Lying Dick Durbin quoted him as saying. Mr. Durbin is the one who has placed that claim in the public domain, and that claim is at most a “He said, she said” situation since Mr. Trump and another Republican have denied it.Put the best face on Mr. Durbin’s statement and he has unnecessarily damaged US relations with foreign countries. Probably (tho it is unlikely ever to be adjudicated) he has slandered the president in the process.
The advance team is going to scout hard to find clean happy well fed Haitians living with indoor plumbing
Maybe they can tour Clinton funded housing

The Haitians aren’t the only ones who have a beef over that, either. The money they ripped off didn’t come from Haiti.Lyin Dick Durbin has gratuitously damaged US relations with foreign states. That is true whether (however unlikely) or not his statement approximated the truth. Senator Durbin should be censured by his colleagues.
And the FCC should enforce its rule against pottymouth broadcasting, Mr. Durbin’s status as a senator notwithstanding.
If Conan’s show was on during WWII he would have spent a week in Thereisienstadt, proclaiming how well the Jews were being treated.
So, will this knucklehead social justice warrior “get down with the people” by sleeping on a sidewalk in Port au-Prince, next to a filthy trash dump, relieving himself in an open gutter, and spending no more than $2-3 dollars a day for meals and other expenses, all the while trying to find some Haitians to film who will say for the benefit of his American audience that they are outraged that Trump, who is obviously a racist, would call their beautiful country one of the enema locales of the world?

Why should the rich go to Aspen Baja or DR when they can go to Haiti , the Congo, Eritrea, Pakistan, or one of the Mexican states on State Department warning list?

That is easily the most depressing place I have ever been. I don’t know exactly whose fault it is that Haiti is a s-hole, but it is most definitely a s-hole, and the misery and suffering of the people is terrible. One thing I am sure of, is that bringing a bunch of them here does nothing to fix what is wrong THERE.
Here’s a dirty little secret that may surprise many; The Haitians in the US Mainland don’t want an influx of poverty stricken Haitians here, the Democrats don’t realize it yet, but they’re over playing this.
What Conan is going to do is promote Haiti by showing us what little good they have there to look at.
What would impress me? If Conan drank the tap water Live and we got to visit him a few days after.
