Washington is waking up to the huge scope and scale of Chinese Communist Party influence operations inside the United States, which permeate American institutions of all kinds. Chinas overriding goal is, at the least, to defend its authoritarian system from attack and at most to export it to the world at Americas expense.
The foreign influence campaign is part and parcel of Chinas larger campaign for global power, which includes military expansion, foreign direct investment, resource hoarding, and influencing international rules and norms. But this part of Chinas game plan is the most opaque and least understood. Beijings strategy is first to cut off critical discussion of Chinas government, then to co-opt American influencers in order to promote Chinas narrative.

Russia collusion failed. I wonder if they’ll try to link Trump with China instead.
I am myself, FAR more concerned with our complete sell-out to China.
Big time. If Trump makes a deal further selling out American interests to China, I would completely support a huge investigation.
Both political parties and the entire American business establishment is completely sold out to China.
Everyone.
It is why I supported Trump so early. Before he even announced.
Nope. Trump better not sell us out too.
STFU Bezos. Every article in the WA Compost only serves his interests. The new Soros personified.
Our (America’s) entire establishment has been sold out to China for the entire last generation.
Everyone.
Both parties. It is about darned time someone stood up for America once again.
It appears Trump may just be the guy.
Wow. Youre already buying into the leftscums next meme?!
I have been one of those on this website posting about China’s unfair trade practices, for a long time.
Prior to this login, I posted as Cringing Negativism Network. I have been resolute on this issue for years.
Back when China was opening to the outside world, I lived and I worked in China. I was in China for over two years. Very early, back when China was just starting to open to the outside world.
Back then, everyone rode bicycles, and wore Mao jackets. Back before Tian an Men
Kindly cut the crap.
And president Trump, please do something, to bring back American businesses.
Is China really communist in the traditional sense? Certainly its a more mature version of communism. Let’s think of it as Capitunism with a heavy influence from the -unism part. The only question is if it’s going to continue to evolve or will it devolve again at the first whiff of an -ocracy infection.
I know this. Our future with China looks better than the European globalism that some have in mind for us.
Communism is Capitalism, with the State as the sole Capitalist.
The number one American sellouts to the Chinese communists, have been the Clintons:
China only has a nuclear force capable of destroying the USA today, because of the technology and secrets that the Clintons sold them - among the greatest traitors in history.
Communism is the biggest theft imaginable - taking everything, from everyone, plus any future earnings.
Could be but in that case the currency of Capitalism is wealth and opportunity. The currency of communism is fear and the cronyism.
“Capitalism” is the wrong term. The proper term is “Free Enterprise”, which implies the free flow of Capital.
Anyone who has been awake knows the Red Chinese have sent their people here for decades. Chinese can hide in plain sight. Anyone remember how they ended up walking docs out of Los Alamitos and Livermore? John Huang? I guess the only question is why the Post is talking about it this week?
The real point of my post is this: Given the choice between a closer ideological tie with China vs being ideologically closer to European version of globalization -— Which one do you prefer?
yup - WaPo trying everything
Shark? or Death By Monkeys?
I choose...Buzz Lightyear!
Drudge linked to one story on his webpage.
There are two others which (I) found at the page with that article, from about one month’s of Washington Post.
Not a WaPo conspiracy.
And I would be among those claiming a WaPo cospiracy, if I thought it was.
For real.
So, muslimiflacation.
