The crowds would have been massive, but what a WONDERFUL convention to attend. Has anyone gone to one of these things and are they as great as they look? The self-driving store reminds me of the last horse-drawn ragman in Chicago streets in the 50's. Surely our beloved cars won't become that obsolete.
By the way, I'll be announcing a new Fine Arts video of Vincent Van Gogh paintings later today, done to Brahms Variations of a theme by Haydn - organized roughly chronologically if you enjoy Art History and like waking up with a bang.

I used to go to the CES in Chicago every June . If you are into tech they are a blast.

COMDEX for me. I was in one of the booths and we had a suite in one of the hotels. And yes, it was pretty cool.
This is targeted more at consumer electronics so probably even more fun.

I went to CES in Vegas about 15 years ago for work and the big deal back then was big screen HD TVs. Wireless everything was all the fad too.
It was a very cool show, and I even won a laptop from some vendor's give-away. But there's a LOT of walking to do so be prepared.

Add in a ‘homing’ wristband which activates a built-in GPS tracker - and the case works like magic.
If you wander too far, it lets out a loud wail.
Great. Something to look forward to at the airport. Screaming kids AND screaming luggage.

I remember when wearable electronics was the IT thing and, lo, fitbit! And then there was the TV screen that would roll up, and I just saw it on some ad. I like to imagine our ancestors walking through our homes with their jaws dropped.
