That would take additional internal structure. SP makers are trying to cram more and more tech into an incredibly small space. Hence the removal of the 3.5mm audio jack. Then you’ve got the seams required for a replaceable battery. Top end phones carry an IP67/8 water resistance rating. 30 minutes at 1m depth.

The solution is to buy the iPhone 10 for $1,000 and be happy!
Then buy the iPhone 11 when Apple cripples the iPhone 10.
