FYI
12 weeks of age is the ideal time to release pups to their new homes.
That extra 4 weeks of socializing with the litter mates is important.

I wouldn't blame someone for waiting 12 weeks to be extra cautious. This breeder recommended not less than 8 weeks and she has lots of experience. Plus my own prior experience, added to many top google hits and a major study says we are fine.

Luna was born on November 9. My Google Calendar says that is a full 9 weeks plus 1 day. One thing I can definitely vouch for already is that my daughter did a few bonding visits and we can see that has worked really very well.
