You think so? Based on what I've seen, I think the younger folks are staunchly in favor of preserving their identity. Remember, these nations were not long ago steam rollered by communism and subsumed to that tyrannical juggernaut.. They are really fighting back all over. You think you'd see this sign in Western Europe or the US?

I wish it wasn’t the case but it is. The younger generations in Eastern Europe have no memory of communism. An 18 year old now was born in 2000!

I talk with young people all the time from CEE. They never bring up politics if you don’t. They have bought into the EU bug big time. They dream of their countries being more (west) European. Not more Polish, Latvian, etc.

The EU has set up a lot of programs targeting them. Subsidized study abroad, etc. They get a lot of the EU goodies up front and don’t want to hear about paying the EU bill later.

Once the older generation that remembers communism dies off Brussels will have a free hand to do what they want, unfortunately.
