Maybe they should just pay them all “scale” so nobody with “star appeal” (whatever that is) gets paid more than those with little recognition....might bankrupt Hollywood or make it a much quieter place....

Oh, that’s good. That “sammich” will occupy a special place in your son’s home forever...along with the accompanying story.

Mark Wahlberg blinded the man in one eye. Fits the definition I know of crippled.
...but Mark (as an adult grown man) said he had made peace with HIMSELF so there was no need to ask the man for forgiveness...until he wanted to sell hamburgers. He’s a gem he is.

That was a false story, Trinh said he lost the eye in a 1975 grenade explosion while he was with the South Vietnamese army.

Why should he work for free?

He probably had no good reason to work for free, and she probably had excellent reasons to work for free.

Thanks for causing me to take a closer look at Wahlburg. Quick facts from which one can make their own conclusions:

At 16, Wahlberg approached a middle-aged Vietnamese man named Thanh Lam on the street, and using a large wooden stick, bashed him over the head until he was knocked unconscious while calling him a “Vietnam fucking shit”. That same day, Wahlberg also attacked a second Vietnamese man named Hoa “Johnny” Trinh, sucker punching him in the eye. According to court documents regarding these crimes, when Wahlberg was arrested later that night and returned to the scene of the first assault, he stated to police officers: “You don’t have to let him identify me, I’ll tell you now that’s the mother-fucker whose head I split open.”[16] Investigators also noted that Wahlberg “made numerous unsolicited racial statements about ‘gooks’ and ‘slant-eyed gooks’.[17][18]

For these crimes, Wahlberg was charged with attempted murder, pleaded guilty to assault, and was sentenced to two years in Suffolk County Deer Island House of Correction. He ultimately served only 45 days of his sentence,[17][19] but carries a permanent felony record. Wahlberg believed he had left Trinh permanently blind in one eye.[15][17][18] Trinh was interviewed in December 2014 by the Daily Mail; he revealed that he had already lost that eye during the Vietnam War, and did not know the identity of his assailant prior to being contacted by the media.[20]

In another incident, then 21-year-old Wahlberg fractured the jaw of a neighbor in an unprovoked attack.[21] Court documents state that in 1992, Wahlberg “without provocation or cause, viciously and repeatedly kicked” a man named Robert D. Crehan in the face and jaw while another man named Derek McCall held Crehan down on the ground.[22]

Now let’s jump to an interview with Piers Morgan in 2012:

“If I don’t go to mass necessarily every day…I definitely go to church every day,” he said. “That’s how I start my day. I like to get in there for about 15 or 20 minutes — say my prayers.”

Clearly curious by this response, Morgan asked, “What does it bring you?”

Wahlberg explained that church provides an opportunity for him to focus his day, while expressing his gratitude. Additionally, it allows him to clear his head so that he can focus upon his actions as well as the elements in his life that he needs to avoid. Prayer, too, is extremely important to the entertainer.

“I pray to be a good servant to God, a father, a husband, a son, a friend, a brother and uncle, a good neighbor, a good leader to those who look up to me and a good follower to those that are serving God and doing the right thing,” he said.

Now let’s Fast forward to the movie ‘Ted’ that Wahlburg starred in, as an ‘everyday’ church goer who ‘strives to follow God’.
Here is some mild dialogue from the movie:

Ted: [Ted and Tami-Lynn grunting and moaning] Stick your finger in the loop of my tag!

Frank: You had sexual intercourse with a co-worker on top of the produce that we sell to the public.

Ted: I fucked her with a parsnip last week. And a sold the parsnip to a family with four small children.

Frank: That took guts. We need guts. I’m promoting you.

Ted: You got a lot of problems, don’t ya?

If you check you would see that this is typical of the movie. Looking at the website, it is clear that the movie is about as crude as it gets. To be clear, I love the freedom we have in the United States and have no problem with this movie being made or Wahlburg starring in it. But anyone that goes from telling me that he goes to church everyday and prays looking to serve God and then can make a movie like this is not serving the God from the Bible that I know. Like far too many Americans (which is why we are where we are right now), Wahlburg’s god is himself. You are more than welcome to buy his act. To be clear, I am a Christian who recognizes that I am a sinner and miles and miles from being perfect. BUT, I know what is and isn’t sin and I strive to avoid sin at all times. I am fairly certain anyone who has truly tried to know God would know that ‘Ted’ would not be a movie that He would like them to willingly participate in. My life experience and common sense tells me that Wahlburg is a fraud. You are of course free to think otherwise.
