President Trump on Tuesday said he’d be willing to “take the heat” if Democrats and Republicans can push through comprehensive immigration reform — calling for “a bill of love.”
Trump reiterated his demand that any deal to protect the so-called “Dreamers” — undocumented immigrants protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program — would have to include funding for his border wall.

The Rats are pushing for a “clean” (stand-alone) DACA bill, and there are some RINOs who will go along with that. The sad thing is that Trump said that if that is the bill that hits his desk (i.e., a stand-alone DACA bill), he will sign it; in which case he will in all likelihood not have a second term.
Who else that ran offered us anything better?

At this point, moreover, I hope there will soon be a bipartisan deal to end chain migration and the insane visa lottery.
These policies/practices, much more than DACA, exacerbate the dangers inherit in allowing illegal familial immigration to wreak havoc upon our country.
Also, hoping that agreement will soon be reached to instate a Merit-Based Immigration System, so that we reap the benefits of skilled, educated people who are not immediately receiving welfare—and who pose little or no threat to our safety.
That Amendment was only written to cover the children of slaves who were sold and brought here - against their will!

If he gives them DACA first, doesn’t he KNOW that they will NEVER agree to anything that curbs the illegals. They will get their way. These DACA people are nasty activists who will make all the Mexicans always vote for the dems. Surely Trump knows this. I personally don’t think the dems will ever agree to what Trump wants, therefore DACA will go by the wayside. I think Trump knows this. People in the states with these dems need to call them and ask about American kids dreams.

He said he’ll sign anything they send over (essentially.) The Democrats have not agreed to border security, nor will they, and if it’s included in the bill, they will make sure no money gets appropriated.
They gave us border security in Simpson-Mazzoli. They then undermined it.
During the Bush administration, Congress authorized border security measures and a 10,000-person increase in the Border patrol. All they ever hired were enough to replace those who retired or resigned. They never got around to appropriating the money for the additional 10,000 agents.
We’re being scammed. But that’s not surprising, given these quotes from Donald Trump in the middle of 2015 (just 2 1/2 years ago, just months before he started running for president):
