I took ibuprofen for over 6 years and believe because of that I had to undergo a quadruple heart bypass surgery about 5 years ago. There was no family history of blocked arteries nor for any of my 3 siblings.

My surgeon instructed me to NEVER take ibuprofen again and suspected that was the sole cause of my blockages. Here's a warning regarding the drug.

P.S. In addition I only took one tablet per night before bedtime that was 200 mg.

My husband started suffering with angioedema and hives about a year ago. I blame ibuprofen. He is still having issues, but it’s definitely better.
