Just curious, who at ESPN stated this, when and, more importantly, why would this be the case? I can only assume you say the CFP was horrified with Oklahoma loosing since it meant an all SEC final, yet if I am wrong please correct me. I really do not care much for ESPN or the NCAA football championship process yet your assertion is intriguing.

Unless you have responses at your finger tips please do not bother to look them up. I really truly am not that interested, just passing intellectual curiosity like many other topics out there which seasonally attract my attention.

That was from Dan Patrick, who though no longer at ESPN professed to know what matchup would have offered the best ratings and therefore how the seedings were made in the semifinals to produce said matchup.

Makes sense that they would want more than one conference, and to have the Heisman winner in the final. Also note that the top Las Vegas odds all along were on Alabama, yet somehow they were the #4 seed.
