I used to watch the Oscars when I was a kid back in the 60s. I don’t think I’ve had any desire in 50 years. I guess I lost interest about the time George C. Scott started the political crap.

hollywood award shows are nothing more than self-congratulatory circle-jerks for self-important, elitist jerks ...

still, there was one award show i loved, though it wasn't exactly Hollywood, namely the Annual Adult Film Awards:
