I was reading your tag line:

"Governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed"

Offer of proof that your tag line doesn't meet the mark so-to-speak.

If "Governments derive their just powers from the consent, of the governed {i.e. the people} then the people have a right to "WITHDRAW / REPEAL" that consent.

A lot of people died the last time that was tried. It was called the American Civil War.

"WARNING" don't try this at home, it could led to someone possibly getting shot.

Governments do derive their just powers from the consent of the governed. They also derive additional powers from raw force. I strongly disapprove of that second group of powers. If California, Texas, or any other state or group of states votes to secede, that secession should be permitted - that's what "consent" means. If Secession 2 leads to Civil War 2, then our federal government is in the wrong. Again.
