True but it would seem to take some time and some legal heavy lifting.

I’m thinking most folks who win aren’t always that sophisticated and the state lottery commissions probably aren’t that helpful in keeping them anonymous as they want the publicity of a real live, “ordinary” person standing up at a press conference holding the big check.

Forming an LLC isn’t really legal heavy lifting, but ya a lawyer should be the first person a lottery winner talks to, particularly before the lottery commission. They just want a PR spectacle and damn the consequences.
