Komodo Dragon Swallows ENTIRE MONKEY in Horrifying ‘Godzilla vs King Kong’ Clip
Daily Star ^ | 30th December 2017 | Tom Evans

THIS is the moment a komodo dragon guzzles down a monkey’s whole body in gruesome footage circulating online.

In the clip, the enormous lizard can be seen swallowing a large monkey as it takes shelter from the sun’s rays.

The monkey’s legs dangle helplessly from the dragon’s mouth as it slowly takes increasingly large gulps of the hapless primate.

With the dragon’s head swaying from side to side, the monkey’s body descends further into the creature’s mouth.

Finally, the clip ends with little more than the monkey’s feet visible as the triumphant dragon looks directly at the camera.

It is not known where the video was filmed but wild komodo dragons only live on the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Motang and Padar.

The footage was shared on social media site Reddit this week, racking up over 700,000 views and thousands of comments.

And observers were quick to share their concern at the disturbing clip.

“Well from the size of that monkey it will at least eat children for sure,” one wrote.

Another said: “That thing has got to have an insane digestive system.”

While another simply wrote: “Godzilla vs King Kong.”

The komodo dragon is the largest living species of lizard – growing up to 10ft long.

Last year, one was seen hiding in a man’s toilet before leaving a poo on the floor as it left.

Um, eww?

I don’t think I’d like to meet him when he’s hungry.

Komodo Dragons typically bite their prey and then track it as their infectious saliva poisons and kills it. The monkey was probably already dead when it was devoured, after suffering a really horrible slow demise.

I suspect someone fed the Komodo Dragon the monkey in order to make a video.

That's what I was thinking too. There is no way a slow moving reptile can capture something as agile as a monkey.

Saw this a few days ago on Reddit. Top comment there, and one that nearly made me lose my drink was:

“There’s no wrong way to eat a Rhesus”.

Also possible the monkey was already dead of unrelated causes and the Komodo was just eating the carcass.

“The triumphant dragon looks straight at the camera.”
My favorite line, however unlikely the dragon ‘felt triumphant”.

Tried to eat his feet as I recall.

Must have pissed her off.

Boiling his bunny rabbit wouldn't be enough.
