Steve Bannon didn't say what the screaming headlines said he did. So far all I've seen is criticism for something he didn't say and I'm frankly amazed at how many on the right are doing that. Plus! Wolff is a known liar and mis-quoter. We don't know if Bannon even said this mild statement.

It's hard to find the real Bannon quote because people are avoiding the truth but here it is:

They didn't have any lawyers," Bannon continued, according to the Guardian. "Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad s***, and I happen to think it's all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.

He doesn't say "It's treasonous." He says the above quote and the obvious point is they should have had lawyers. You have to stretch it way out of shape to even think that statement is calling treason. However, I guess people believe what they want to believe even if the facts are staring them in the face.

I'll quantify this point: When he says I happen to think it's all of that he's not saying the Trump team ARE treasonous, he obviously saying the meeting was a setup to put them into that position. Calling the FBI would have been a great response to such a DNC trick. However, with the traitorous FBI who knows what would have happened? Now there's some traitors; Mueller, Comey and whoever their minions were.
