Oh, I thought I saw something that claimed I get CBS All Access for free. *shrug*
We pay way too much for cable/internet, $3k per year. It’s insane. When we first got cable back in 1982/83 it was something like $12 or $15 per month. Costs are insane now. I get Amazon prime for the purposes of free shipping on items, but it’s not being used enough to justify paying for it.
BTW, as for the Abrams $hitstorms, the movies are named as follows: “Faux Trek I: The Motionsickness Flares”, “Faux Trek Deux: Into Dorkness”, “Faux Trek Tree: Beyoncé.” I’m presuming the next one will be “Faux Trek Tree Fiddy: Dances With Homos and Herberts.”
IF you have the CBS subscription already you must be paying, unless you got some special free offer I don’t know about, if you never added it I don’t see how you can have it unless you accidentally got a free trial, beware the free trial, that’s how they get you. My dad somehow, probably by asking his “Google Home” to play him something accidentally signed up for a free trial for “Audible” (books on tape), we never knew until 2 months later when the first bill appeared.
3K? Do you have blazing speed and every channel known to man? Multiple (more than 2 or 3) receivers? Bad local taxes? If not, that’s exorbitant. You should see what’s available and look to switching. Xfinty double play maybe.
Herberts, from the hippie episode yes? Haha. I’d honestly rather watch that crapfest than “Beyond”, the first 2 at least entertained me a little.
I didn’t order the CBS All Access, I just seem to recall seeing something in an email from Amazon recently that claimed if I had Prime, the CBS thing came with it. I got on Amazon Prime by using a free trial for a month early last year. As I said, I haven’t used it enough to justify the cost (I haven’t viewed any videos off it, yet, for example).
Blazing speed internet ? I don’t know about that. I don’t think it is much faster than it was when I first got high-speed internet in 1998. If anything, it’s possible it might be slower, since hardly anyone had it when we first got it, and we literally got it hooked up at our house the first day they were able to send some techs out to put in the lines.
As for cable, we have virtually every channel, but don’t watch but a fraction of it, and nothing justifies the costs. If we could do a la carte, we could probably sack 90% of the channels (all the sports channels/MTV crapola, MSNBC/CNBC horseshit, et al). The movie channels aren’t as good as they used to be, probably because 90% of the movies today are garbage and 99% of the actors, too.
